Large amber glass vase from Buczkó György Hungarian Glass Artist

Gorgeous large hand-blown amber glass vase with a modern, mid-century aesthetic from glass artist and sculptor György Buczkó. The vase is one of the artist early works and is in a spotless condition with one minor scratch on the top. It is made of 8 mm thick glass with delicate colourful lines inside the overall amber colour. The vase is 58 cm tall and 17 cm at its widest point. 

György Buczkó (1950- , Budapest) 

"1969-1974: Hungarian College of Applied Arts, Department of Silicate, master: György Z. Gács. 1974-1980: designer of the Salgótarján Glass Factory. 1981-1998: teacher at the glass department of the Budapest Secondary School of Fine and Applied Arts. 1991: founder of the Living Glass Artists, a group of glass design artists. Since 1991: organizer of the Bárdudvarnok International Glass Artists' Workshop and International Glass Symposiums. Since 1997, glass designer at the Tokod Glass Factory."
