The asymmetrical Toscana / Tuscana chairs were designed in 1986 by Piero Sartogo and Nathalie Grenon for Saporiti Italia, reportedly for the New York restaurant Toscana.
With original upholstery.
Sartogo's designs are characterized by their modern and functional style, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. He is known for his use of clean lines and simple forms, as well as his attention to detail and use of natural materials. Sartogo has won numerous awards for his work, including the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Italian Association of Architects.
