Embedded within the glass rather than simply applied to its surface, these abstract accents create a constantly changing composition as light passes through the vessel.

Particularly striking is the broad, undulating rim, which gives the tall sculptural silhouette an organic, almost flower-like finish. Variations within the thick glass, including small bubbles and optical distortions, further reveal the individual character of the handmade process.

Gyula Budveszel was a Hungarian master glassblower whose work forms part of the country's tradition of handcrafted glassmaking.
