Design by James Rizzi (NY, 1950-2011), as part of the high-quality Studio Line for Rosenthal, this playfully illustrated porcelain container with scenes from New York was manufactured in a limited 500 pieces. The porcelain box has the shape of an apple as a reference to 'Big Apple' the famous nickname of the city. The illustrations are imaginative depictions of the buzzing, colourful life in the city of New York. On the bottom of the object a stamp mark "Rosenthal studio-linie, lim. Kunstreihen" is attesting its originality.
