Henning Kjærnulf Set of Three Oak Nesting Tables for EG Kvalitets, Denmark 1960s
Elegant set of three nesting tables designed by Henning Kjærnulf and produced in Denmark by EG Kvalitetsmøbel during the 1960s.
Crafted from solid oak, the tables are distinguished by their gently sculpted, undulating legs, warm natural grain and the decorative ceramic-tile inlay set into the top of the largest table. Each table slides neatly beneath the next, allowing the set to occupy minimal space while providing three versatile surfaces whenever required.
The restrained Scandinavian silhouette is balanced by expressive cabinetmaking details, giving the tables a character that works particularly well in mid-century modern, rustic, brutalist and contemporary interiors. They may be arranged together as a sculptural group or used individually beside a sofa, lounge chair or bed.
These are especially likeable and practical pieces—easy to live with, yet distinctive enough to bring warmth and personality to an interior.
Presented in preserved vintage condition, with minor surface marks and natural patina consistent with age and previous use. These signs of time contribute to the authentic character of the set without detracting from its overall appearance.
