LaPalma Folding Chairs Set of 2, Dark Green Metal & Woven Cord, Italy, 1970s

A distinctive and elegant pair of La Palma folding chairs, manufactured in Italy during the 1970s.

The chairs feature slender dark green lacquered metal frames and tall sculptural fan-shaped backrests composed of fine metal rods and elongated curved central elements. The open geometric construction gives the chairs a decorative and visually light appearance.

The rounded seats are woven in light-coloured twisted paper cord. The warm, natural texture of the woven seats creates an attractive contrast with the rigorous lines of the metal frames. This balanced combination of organic and industrial materials gives the chairs their distinctive and timeless character.

Thanks to their folding construction, the chairs are practical, easy to move and convenient to store. They may be used as dining chairs, occasional seating or decorative accent pieces in a kitchen, hallway, bedroom or quiet reading corner.
