Elegant Mid-Century Modern coffee table, circa 1960, combining warm-toned teak with refined brass details.

The elongated rectangular top is particularly well executed, with a richly figured central surface surrounded by a broader, slightly darker wooden border. Gently rounded corners and a softly profiled edge give the otherwise restrained geometric form a sophisticated, almost sculptural quality.

The table stands on four slender tapered wooden legs, each terminating in an elegant conical brass ferrule and small circular foot. These subtle brass details provide a refined decorative counterpoint to the warmth and simplicity of the wood.

The light proportions, emphasis on natural wood grain and restrained use of brass are characteristic of European Mid-Century Modern furniture of the late 1950s and 1960s. The design shows affinities with both Scandinavian Modern and Continental European furniture of the period without being unnecessarily decorative.

The wood displays a particularly attractive warm honey-reddish tone and pronounced linear grain. Minor surface marks and variations consistent with age and previous use remain visible and contribute to the authentic vintage character of the piece.
